Description
As a Residential Support Worker (LBS-007), you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals residing in our residential facility. Our mission is to foster a nurturing environment where each person can thrive, and as a Residential Support Worker, you will be at the forefront of this mission. You will work directly with residents who may have diverse needs, including physical disabilities, mental health challenges, or developmental delays. Your responsibilities will involve assisting residents with daily living activities, encouraging them to engage in social and recreational activities, and supporting their personal growth and independence. This position requires a committed individual who is dedicated to promoting the well-being and dignity of those we serve. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each resident's unique needs. Additionally, you will serve as an advocate for residents' rights while ensuring a safe and supportive living environment. Responsibilities
Provide personal care and support to residents in daily activities.
Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
Encourage and facilitate participation in recreational and social activities.
Monitor the health and well-being of residents, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and changes in behavior.
Collaborate with other support staff and professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Promote a respectful, safe, and healthy living environment for all residents.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is required; further education in health or social sciences is a plus.
Previous experience working in a residential support or caregiving role is preferred.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents and staff.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Demonstrated empathy, patience, and understanding of the needs of individuals with disabilities.
Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated and independent.
Current first aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring.
Hours Per Week: 20.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £18.26
