Clean Spaces. Calm Minds. Cared-for People.
This role is so much more than mops and polish. It’s about creating a space that feels like home - not just looks like it. Because when a room is clean, calm, and cared for, people feel safer. Dignity is protected. And families can relax, knowing their loved ones are in good hands.
As a Domestic Assistant you’ll be a quiet hero of the day-to-day. You’ll make beds, clean rooms, freshen up spaces. But what you’re really doing? You’re helping people feel human. Comfortable. Seen.
What you'll be doing:
· Cleaning bedrooms, communal areas, and bathrooms to a high standard.
· Making sure everything feels tidy, safe, and welcoming - just like home should.
· Supporting dignity in the hardest moments - cleaning with compassion after accidents, when a resident hasn’t made it to the toilet, and making sure they’re never made to feel embarrassed or ashamed.
· Being respectful and friendly to residents - sometimes stopping for a quick chat, or just a smile.
· Working closely with care and kitchen teams to keep the home running smoothly.
Who you are:
· Hard-working, reliable, and someone who takes pride in a job well done.
· Kind and respectful - you know that a person’s room is their sanctuary.
· Happy to roll up your sleeves and make a difference behind the scenes.
· No experience? That’s okay - if you’ve got the right attitude, we’ll teach you everything else.
What we offer:
· A supportive, friendly team where everyone’s contribution matters.
· Fully paid training and plenty of career progression opportunities
· Induction programme with a dedicated mentor to help you feel supported and comfortable in your new role
· Free DBS check and auto-enrolment pension
· The use of ‘Flex Earn’ enabling you to access wages earnt in advance of pay day, viewing earnt wages in real time
· Blue Light Card eligibility – discounts on retail, eating out, and more!
· Free meals provided when working long shifts
· Access to Peninsula Care Homes Mental Health First Aider; an external Confidential Care helpline for you and your family members; Peninsula Care Home’s ‘Whycare?’ app and Refer a Friend scheme (earn money for bringing your friends on board!)
· The chance to be part of something that feels real - because it is.
It’s not always glamorous. It’s not always easy. But it really matters.
If you believe that care can live in the little things - in fresh sheets, a clean floor, a kind smile - we’d love to meet you.
