Production Operative – 12 Month FTC (Day Shifts, Moving to Shift Rota)
We are seeking a motivated Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing company on a 12-month fixed term contract, based in Felixstowe.
The Role:
• Operate and monitor key production processes to ensure output is achieved safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
• Carry out equipment preparation, cleaning, and routine checks.
• Load and monitor bulk materials and tankers, ensuring compliance with safety and quality protocols.
• Record and report operational data, troubleshoot issues, and support maintenance as required.
• Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards at all times.
Shift Pattern & Pay:
• Initial day shift, Monday to Friday - 05:45 – 14:15
• Progression to full shift rota - 2 days, 2 nights, 6 off / 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off (during break cover).
• Salary: £36,051 (day shift) rising to £44,820 (full shift rota).
About You:
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial operations environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task in a pressurised environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, safety awareness, and clear communication skills.
• Computer literate with confidence in record keeping and following procedures.
