Pay: £18.74 to £21.89 per hour (PAYE), depending on shift
The Best Connection is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers for ongoing work based in Stanford-Le-Hope. We are looking for reliable and professional drivers to join our team for curtain side trunking and delivery work, operating across the South East of England.
Whether you prefer day or night shifts, we have a variety of consistent routes and shift patterns available, including both trunking and multi-drop deliveries to commercial sites.
Job Details:
- Driving a Class 1 (C+E) curtain side vehicle
- Completing trunking and site delivery routes during day or night shifts
- Delivering appliances and tech equipment across the South East
- Manual handling required for loading/unloading
- Conducting pre-use vehicle checks in line with DVSA guidelines
- Ensuring load security and accurate completion of paperwork
- Using a digital tachograph and complying with legal driving hours
- Following company and site-specific health and safety policies
Shift Pattern:
- 5 days on / 3 days off
- 8 to 10-hour shifts
- Day and night shifts available
Pay Rates (PAYE):
- £18.74 to £21.89 per hour (depending on shift and assignment)
- Holiday pay included
- Overtime may be available
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Minimum 2 years experience driving Class 1 vehicles preferred
- Maximum of 6 points on your licence (no DD, DR, or IN convictions)
- Good understanding of UK driving laws and regulations
- Able to complete manual handling tasks
- Punctual, professional, and safety-conscious
