SEND Primary Teaching Assistant - Autism Base (Mainstream) - Maghull

Location: Maghull
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30
Pay: £93.00 per day

Chalk education are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Maghull, working within the school's Autism base in a mainstream setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism, supporting them to access learning and achieve their full potential.

The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism and additional needs
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver tailored learning support
- Promote positive behaviour, independence, and social interaction
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.



The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting children with autism or additional learning needs (in school or similar settings)
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
