As a Health Care Assistant, you will work under direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse/Nursing Associate. to provide the highest quality of integrated nursing care and patient pathways within the department, supported by FrimleyHealthStrategy, Values, policies and procedures. The care you give to patients will be compassionate, caring, and high quality.

As a member of our team, you will be supported and we expect you to support other staff, act in the best interest of patients and treat everyone with respect.

You will sometimes be required to work across our three sites which include King Edward VII Outpatients, Parapet Breast Unit and Saint Marks Outpatients. This will provide you with the opportunity to work with a variety of clinicians from different specialities.

Being able to drive is essential to enable you to work across sites.

Please note this is a front facing clinical role where a high level of spoken and written English language is required.Please do not useAI softwarefor completion of your application for this role.

You currently must be in the UK and have current experience of working in a UK Healthcare setting as an HCA.






To display a visible clinical presence, supporting the Outpatients team to achieve a high standard of evidence-basedcare,procedures,and treatment specific to the clinical need, working within the FH competency frameworkappropriate torole and scope of practice, including the use of medical devices.

To demonstratea sound knowledge of the principles of infection control, including monthly hand hygiene audits adhering to the highest standards when performing aseptic technique andalwayscomplying withFH Infection Control Policies.



To ensure compliance with all FH and OPD policies and guidelines, e.g. (but not limited to) consent, chaperoning, WHO checklist, COSHH, Information Governance.


To work with the Registered Nurse andNurse in Chargeto ensure patients safe,appropriate,andtimelydischarge from the department following interventional procedures.


To work closely with the senior and multi-disciplinary team ensuring excellent and effective communication ismaintained.


To ensure patient records aremaintainedaccurately in line with local and national standards, digital strategy, Information Governance and General Data Protection Regulations.


To respond effectively to patient and service requirements,escalating any issues to the Nurse-in-Charge ina timelyandappropriate manner, reporting these through the RL system.

• Carry out all administrative and other duties that arerequired, working effectively to provide safe, evidence-basedand cost-effective care.

• To be aware of FH complaint and incidents procedure, ensuring incidents are reported andescalatedina timely mannerutilising the RL system appropriately and working with the senior team to ensure learning occurs.

• To attend Outpatient departmental meetings and contribute to educational half-days, keeping up to date with the wider nursing agenda and initiatives.

• To engage andassistwith implementation of new initiatives and models of working, using reflection and clinical supervision as part of your professional development.


• Contribute to achieving individual, team, department and organisationalobjectivesand quality targets, tomaintainan excellent patient experience and service delivery.

• To undertake learning to ensure you are up to date with mandatory training and appraisals.

• To support, supervise and assess all learners, students, temporary new and junior staff within the departments.
