Personal Assistant - Supporting a Young Adult with Diverse Needs
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable Personal Assistant to support a 23-year-old young man with a moderate learning disability, Autism, ADHD, behavioural challenges, and generalised anxiety disorder.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by providing tailored support that promotes independence, wellbeing, and confidence.
As a Personal Assistant, you will:
Support emotional regulation and help manage behaviours in a calm, understanding manner.
Encourage and facilitate participation in meaningful activities, both at home and in the community.
Build confidence and independence within a safe and supportive environment.
Provide companionship and reassurance to help reduce anxiety and improve well-being.
The ideal candidate will:
Be empathetic, patient, and adaptable to individual needs.
Have experience or understanding of autism, ADHD, and mental health conditions (training will be provided if required).
Be an effective communicator, able to build trust and positive relationships.
Be reliable, organised, and resilient when faced with challenges.
Hold a valid driving licence (preferred but not essential).

At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
