1. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Carry out coordination, administration and support of referred services including food crisis services and the wider projects and services offered by the Trust. The post is a front facing post that will involve the support of volunteers as well as administration of services such as record keeping, stock management and supporting adherence to relevant processes and legislation.
2. Main Responsibilities
. Food Crisis Support Service
· Support and facilitate the processes for referred services; including food crisis services
· Support of food crisis services including ordering of stock, production of marketing materials and/or other items required to support the service
· Organise and run food collections to ensure sufficient stock held and maintained to support current and future project growth
· Support the day to day running of food crisis services - stock rotation, monitoring stock requirement and stock issue, keeping statistical records
· Organise the re-supply of food to distributors and clients
· Assist with the recruitment and support of volunteers, and their rotas to ensure best use of volunteers
· Liaise with senior staff over the running of the project and budget
Health and Safety Support:
· Support operational compliance with Health & Safety, Trading Standards and Environmental regulations
Data and Information Support:
· Provide administrative support for projects and services, including, for example, maintaining local filing systems, record-keeping, preparation of agenda, preparing notes of meetings, arranging bookings, photocopying/filing, dealing with incoming and outgoing mail and purchasing supplies.
· Assist in the production of regular data and information updates and reports
3. Other
· Actively contribute support to the East Durham Trust team.
· Operate within organisational policies and practices.
· Undertake other tasks as directed.
· To foster a ‘can do’ culture by actively seeking solutions to problems.
· Responsibilities for upholding the organizations Health and Safety.
· Promoting the work and Mission of the Trust consistently and in a positive manner.
· Understand that this is a flexible hours post and may include work outside of a typical working day.
Geographic Location
The Referred Services Administration Support Worker is a front facing post and is based in Community House, Peterlee however post holder will need to move around East Durham to meet our communities where they are and may, at times, work within other settings and services.
Duration: 12 months from date of appointment
