TeacherActive is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Weston-super-Mare to recruit a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to start immediately.

This is a long-term opportunity within a positive school community that prides itself on creating a nurturing and engaging environment for staff and students alike. You’ll be joining a collaborative team that values consistency, professionalism, and pupil development.

The Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom to supervise pre-set lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. Your key responsibilities will be to manage classroom behaviour, ensure students stay on task, and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.

There is no planning or marking involved, but you’ll need a calm, professional approach and a genuine enthusiasm for working with young people.

We’re Looking For:

• A CACHE Level 2/3 qualification or a minimum of 6 months' recent classroom-based experience

  
  

• Strong behaviour management and classroom control skills

  
  

• Confidence delivering lessons across a range of subjects to students aged 11–16

  
  

• A professional, adaptable attitude and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  
  

• Immediate availability for a consistent, long-term role in Weston-super-Mare
