A college + university like no other
With 19 campuses and centres across the North and West Highlands, Skye, and Outer Hebrides, we cover a geographic area larger than Wales, comprising 40% of Scotland’s coastline. Our campuses and centres are located within historic towns and villages, set amongst the shorelines, mountains, and moors, with local staff working across our region to support our students and communities.
Position: We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Engagement Assistant to be based at our Dornoch campus.
Responsibilities: The post holder will be responsible for working on a busy reception where you will be the welcoming face of the campus for students, staff, customers and visitors, as well as responding to a wide range of enquiries and supporting students when required. The role will also include a range of administrative support, as well as supporting the Engagement Lead in college engagement activity.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills: The suitable candidate will have previous experience of working in a busy front line customer service environment as well as extensive administrative experience and possess excellent IT skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. The successful candidate must be able to work flexibly when needed.
The role will suit someone who is well organised, has excellent communication skills and attention to detail, and the ability to work on their own initiative.
A level of Gaelic ability would be advantageous to your application.
Salary: £25,875 - £27,431 per annum, pro rata
Location: Dornoch
Working Hours: 15 hours per week, permanent contract
Closing Date: 15th October 2025, 12 noon
