Class Teacher – Oakwood School

Closing Date: Thursday 16th October 2025Interview Process: Week commencing 20th October 2025

Oakwood School is seeking an inspirational and committed Class Teacher to join our dynamic team from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position (Teacher Main Pay Scale/UPS plus 1 SEND Point). Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply; ECT contracts will be fixed term and reviewed annually, with the possibility of a permanent contract upon successful completion of the ECT process.

The Role

We are looking for a teacher with a passion for inclusive and creative education, able to work with pupils with a range of specialisms, including autism, severe and profound learning difficulties, and those with physical and medical needs. You will be part of a dedicated team of senior leaders, teachers, teaching assistants, pastoral and health leads, all working together to ensure that ‘Every Child Shines!’

Oakwood is a growing school for children with severe learning difficulties (SLD), autism, and profound and multiple learning needs (PMLD), catering for pupils from EYFS to Year 10. We operate across two sites: Walsall Wood Campus and Pelsall Lane Campus.
