Crynodeb

Wycliffe is seeking a committed and experienced Head of Futures to lead the design and delivery of an outstanding programme of Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG). This is a pivotal role in preparing our pupils for the opportunities and challenges of life beyond school; whether in further study, apprenticeships, or employment. The Head of Futures will have both operational and strategic responsibilities: coordinating day-to-day provision, guiding pupils individually at key transitions, and embedding CEIAG across the curriculum in line with the Gatsby Benchmarks. You will also manage the careers budget, line-manage the Careers Administrator, and report regularly on destination data and impact. With strong partnerships already in place, you will work closely with employers, universities, training providers, alumni, and parents to enrich the careers offer. Looking ahead, you will lead the College’s ambition to achieve an external Careers Quality Mark, ensuring our provision is recognised as sector-leading. Key Responsibilities:• Develop, lead, and evaluate a whole-College careers strategy aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks. • Deliver individual and group careers guidance, particularly at key transition points. • Organise careers events, employer talks, university visits, and work experience placements. • Manage the careers budget and line-manage the Careers Administrator. • Report regularly on the effectiveness of provision and pupil destinations to senior leaders and trustees. • Engage parents and guardians in the CEIAG process through events, newsletters, and digital platforms. • Build and maintain partnerships with employers, universities, apprenticeship providers, and alumni. • Lead the College’s ambition to achieve a Careers Quality Mark accreditation.About You:• Experienced in careers guidance, education, or a related field, ideally holding (or working towards) a Level 6 qualification in Careers Guidance. • Knowledgeable about CEIAG frameworks, the Gatsby Benchmarks, and best practice in careers provision. • Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills. • Able to balance strategic planning with operational delivery. • Motivated to secure external recognition for the College’s careers provision.
