Who Are Forest Holidays?

We’re a Certified B Corp. Our business has been recognised as a force for good. It's what we’ve always known: our holidays are good for people and the planet. We’ve never done business as usual. Our holidays are unique, and so are we. We’re a team of 800 people. We’re stewards of 244.5 hectares of forest. We manage the land for conservation and create spaces in nature for people to stay. Our tucked-away cabin locations are always thoughtfully placed. They’re places to discover the wonders of nature and realise the part we all play in protecting it.

About the Assistant Facilities Manager role:

As our Assistant Facilities Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of our site. You’ll support the Facilities Manager in supervising the team, overseeing proactive and reactive maintenance, and ensuring all compliance paperwork is completed.

You will remain hands on, carrying out general maintenance tasks, including using tools, fixing machinery, decorating, and checking cabins to ensure everything is in working order. You’ll also respond to guest concerns, whether it’s a dishwasher not draining or heating issues.

Whatever the weather, you’ll play a key part in keeping our location running smoothly and ensuring guests have a seamless stay.

Your Responsibilities:

Assist the Facilities Manager in training and scheduling the team.
Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to keep cabins, hot tubs, and facilities in top condition.
Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed and compliance paperwork is completed.
Check and maintain cabins before guest arrivals, ensuring everything is in full working order.
Respond to guest concerns efficiently, resolving issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.

Skills and Experience:

Our ideal Assistant Facilities Manager will be extremely organised, able to balance multiple challenges and tasks at once, provide motivation and guidance to the team while keeping guest satisfaction a top priority.

We’re looking for someone with:

A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
Hands-on maintenance experience, including using tools, fixing machinery, and decorating.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.
Resilience to work outdoors in all weather conditions, all year round.
Great communication skills, with the ability to assist guests and handle queries professionally.
Team leadership experience, with the ability to support, train, and motivate staff.

As our Assistant Facilities Manager we can offer you:

As a valued member of our team, you’ll enjoy a range of fantastic benefits, including:

Generous holiday allowance - Take the time you need to recharge and enjoy a healthy work-life balance.
