We’re thrilled to invite applications for an enthusiastic and well-organised Construction Instructor/Technician to join our dynamic team at the Bicester Construction Centre. As our department continues to grow, we are looking for a passionate individual eager to work in education and support students in developing their practical construction skills.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in a construction trade or a solid understanding of the practical skills involved. You will be expected to support a range of trade areas, including plumbing, electrical installation, and wood trades. Don’t worry if you’re not an expert in all areas - we provide training and ongoing support.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting teachers in workshops to develop students' practical skills
- Supervising students during practical sessions
- Ordering materials and managing stock levels
- Maintaining high standards of workshop organisation and cleanliness
- Working collaboratively within a supportive team environment
Essential Experience:
- Experience or knowledge in construction trades
- Enthusiasm for working in education and supporting learners of all ages
- Strong communication skills
- Confidence in engaging with students and colleagues
- A team player with a positive and proactive attitude
