Wessex Procurement Ltd (WPL) are looking for a motivated and reliable Cath Lab Stock Management Officer to join our team based at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.

The Cath Lab Stock Management Officer is responsible for the day-to-day organisation, monitoring, and replenishment of stock and equipment to support both routine and emergency cardiology procedures. They work closely with nursing, physiology, and radiology teams to ensure the right levels and types of consumables are always available, helping to deliver safe, high-quality care.

The post holder will work closely with procurement, clinicians, and suppliers to arrange new product trials, manage deliveries, and identify cost-saving opportunities. They maintain accurate records for stock usage and reordering, ensure secure storage of high-value items, and support traceability for clinical documentation.

A key member of the multidisciplinary team, the officer promotes efficiency and safety through robust stock management processes. They are expected to work independently, uphold the values of the Trust and WPL, and be a reliable resource expert for the wider cardiology department.

A summary is as follows:

• To be responsible with the ordering of equipment, consumables and other materials.
• To look to recommend sources of supply and identify potential cost savings to share with procurement and clinical team for consideration.
• Produce rationalisation/standardisation initiatives, ensuring all stock is managed efficiently and cost effectively in line with Trust policies and procedures.
• Keep accurate information of stock levels and review as required.
• To ensure the correct and safe storage of all items.
• Recognises and effectively responds to emergency situations seeking support from the clinical team in a timely and appropriate manner.
• To answer and resolve invoice queries including checking these are correct, requesting credit notes, checking items have been used or returned and receipting correct invoices.
• The post holder will be expected to use their initiative and work independently with the ability to plan their own workload and determine urgency but with contact and reference to their manager as necessary.
• Take part and lead in inventory control, supply chain principles, managed inventory principles
