Crynodeb
The Arts Centre Hounslow is a creative and community hub at the heart of the borough. Since opening, we’ve been committed to making arts, culture, and wellbeing accessible to all. In 2023, we successfully bid to run the Hounslow Wellbeing Network, a service previously led by the NHS.
What began as a handful of sessions with fewer than 50 members has grown into a thriving community of 1,500+ registered members, with 850+ people participating monthly. Today, the Network offers 25+ weekly sessions ranging from fitness and dance to art, talking groups, coffee mornings, and wellbeing workshops.
Commissioned by the London Borough of Hounslow and funded by the NHS, we work closely with a Peer Steering Group including NHS representatives, council officers, and community members. Together, we are building an ecosystem of healthcare, creativity, and connection that reduces social isolation and improves wellbeing across the borough.
This is your chance to join a growing and joyful initiative that puts community at its heart.
The Role: Service Delivery Coordinator
As our Service Delivery Coordinator, you’ll be at the centre of everything we do. The role combines coordination and frontline delivery: you’ll plan, oversee, and report on the full programme while also leading sessions and being a welcoming face for members.
You’ll supervise around 40 volunteers, work closely with facilitators and partners, and ensure sessions run smoothly. You’ll also keep the network connected through communication, feedback, and signposting to other services.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on relationships, enjoys being hands-on, and has the organisational skills to keep a busy programme running.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Coordination
– Plan, coordinate, and oversee a diverse range of sessions and activities.
– Prepare monthly schedules, ensuring timely communication with members and partners.
– Manage weekly coordination: booking facilitators, preparing venues, and ensuring smooth delivery.
– Monitor attendance and ensure accurate data entry into the CRM.
Community Engagement & Partnerships
– Build strong relationships with members, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported.
– Manage and grow partnerships with NHS, council, and community organisations.
– Promote activities through newsletters, social media, and community channels.
– Support grant applications and collaborative projects.
Volunteer & Facilitator Management
– Recruit, train, and supervise around 40 volunteers.
– Allocate volunteers to sessions, offering support and recognition.
– Provide ongoing communication with facilitators.
– Encourage more service-user-led activities.
Communications
– Draft newsletters, updates, and monthly communications.
– Maintain WhatsApp groups, mailing lists, and contact records.
– Respond promptly to service queries.
– Ensure members feel welcomed and valued.
Monitoring, Reporting & Administration
– Maintain accurate CRM records.
– Produce monthly, PSG, and monitoring reports.
– Support data collection and presentation for improvement and funding.
– Coordinate grant applications, collating evidence and supporting submissions.
– Assist with budgets, expenses, and resources.
– Ensure GDPR and confidentiality compliance.
Ideal Candidate
You’ll be organised, empathetic, and approachable, with a passion for community wellbeing. Strong communication skills and adaptability are essential, along with experience in coordination within community, charity, or health settings. Confidence with IT systems (CRM, email, spreadsheets, social media) is key. You’ll be proactive, team-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Person Specification
Essential
– A degree (or equivalent experience) in community development, health, social care, or a related field.
– Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities.
– Experience of community engagement, wellbeing, or health programmes.
– Experience supervising or supporting volunteers/staff.
– Confidence with IT systems and record-keeping.
Desirable
– Experience of partnership working with statutory services (e.g., NHS, local authority).
– Experience of reporting to funders or commissioners.
What We Offer
– Supportive and inclusive team environment.
– Hands-on training and supervision.
– Opportunities to design and deliver wellbeing programmes.
– Experience in engagement, project management, and fundraising.
– Professional development opportunities within the charity, wellbeing, and arts sectors.
– Reimbursement of work-related travel expenses.
