We are a fast growing wholesale business, supplying high-quality products to our customers. We take pride in providing excellent service and timely deliveries. We are looking for a reliable and professional Part-Time Delivery Driver to join our team.
Working Hours:
This role requires working weekends, you will be expected to work every Saturday and Sunday morning plus all day Monday and Tuesday and Thursday mornings. There will be further hours available during busy periods and as we are a growing company, there will be the opportunity for permanent, full time hours in the near future.
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team and support our operations with timely and safe deliveries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and navigate various routes efficiently. This role will initially be part-time, working on an as-needed basis with daytime hours and every other weekend required. As our business is rapidly expanding, this role will evolve in to a full time position with set working hours and duties.
Key Responsibilities:
*Safely and efficiently deliver orders to customers.
*Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring safe handling of products.
*Ensure all deliveries are accurate and handled with care.
*Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
*Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
*Follow all road safety regulations and company procedures.
*Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
*Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
*Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
*Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
*Assist in the warehouse when not on deliveries, including organising stock and preparing items for dispatch.
Requirements:
*Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is advantageous.
Previous experience in a delivery role is preferred but not essential.
*Excellent time management and reliability.
*Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
*Strong communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude to interact positively with customers and team members.
*Familiarity with local roads and routes is beneficial.
*Experience in warehouse operations is a plus, including stock management and organisation skills.
