Part time Careers Lead - term time only
Salary: £24,225 (pro rata actual salary £13,659)
Ideally 3 days but negotiable

Support for pupils’ personal development is exceptional. A well-crafted personal, social, emotional and health education programme helps them be healthy, respect others and understand how to keep themselves safe, helping prepare them well for later life. – Ofsted, March 2024.

A new opportunity has been created to help support the innovative and forward thinking provision within Bohunt School to help prepare our young people for the world they will be going into. Working alongside the Senior Leader with responsibility for Careers and Personal Development, and as part of a team that includes independent Careers advisors, you will be responsible for the delivery of the school’s programme of careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG). This involves planning, implementing and quality assuring a careers programme for the school; networking with external partners, including employers, apprenticeship, and further education providers; working with the independent careers adviser(s), teachers, tutors and other key departments.

You will bring us:
• A sense of humour, can do attitude, and wanting to be part of something bigger
• Level6/7 careers leader qualification, or a willingness to undertake this
• Good levels of literacy and numeracy
• Competency in using technology and associated packages
• Organisational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Exceptional communication skills
• Experience in working in an educational setting desirable but not essential
• Library experience would be beneficial but not essential

Bohunt School in Liphook was judged in the top 20 of all Comprehensive Schools nationally in The Times Parent Power Good Schools table in 2024 and the school has received national coverage for a variety of innovative initiatives. The School is located in attractive, open country on the edge of Liphook (40 miles from London) with easy access to the A3 between Guildford and Portsmouth. Bohunt School opened a new Sixth Form in purpose built accommodation in 2017.
