SEN Teaching Assistant Role Overview
As a Teaching Assistant for Special Educational Needs, you'll work closely with teachers and SEN professionals to provide tailored support. You'll help pupils one-to-one or in small groups, ensuring lessons are accessible, engaging, and inclusive.

Key Responsibilities

Support students with SLD and PMLD daily, offering academic and emotional guidance

Assist with personalised learning programmes set by the teacher or SENCO

Use Makaton, PECS, and visual aids to support communication and learning

Encourage independence and self-confidence in every child

Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to promote holistic progress

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as an SEN TA or Learning Support Assistant (desirable, but training available)

A calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach to SEN support

Strong teamwork skills and initiative

Passion for making a positive difference to children with additional needs

Right to work in the UK (essential)
