Your new roleAs a General Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
- Work with pupils in small groups or 1:1 to reinforce learning.
- Assist with literacy, numeracy, phonics, and guided reading.
- Help manage pupil behaviour and promote engagement.
- Support pupils with SEND or EAL needs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and positive learning environment.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working with children in an educational setting (minimum 20 days in the last 2 years).
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
