Are you someone working as a supervisor looking to step into a Facilities Supervisor role? Join our friendly and supportive Facilities team as a Facilities Supervisor based at Yeatman Hospital in Sherborne.

As the Facilities Supervisor you will be knowledgeable in cleaning processes and have an awareness and understanding of Infection Prevention Control and COSHH. You will have passion to learn on how to lead a team and have experience with staff management. You will ensure the day-to-day team tasks are also met. Some of your duties will be to carry out cleaning audits, pre-planned maintenance, rota planning, and other office-based work. What we offer is a robust training and induction programme. Having experience in a similar supervisor role would be essential and we offer ongoing supervision and further development opportunities.

The Facilities Supervisor role is a full-time Monday to Friday post. We would also welcome part-time applicants with a minimum of 25 hours. We can be flexible with start time and finish time as we promote a positive work to home life balance. You will need a full UK Driving Licence.

Full time hours:7.30am to 3.30pm with one late shift a fortnight to support and manage the evening team and one day a month at the weekend.

Part time hours:7:30 – 3:30pm weekday (reduced hours to meet 25 hours can be discussed further at interview stage).

To ensure that the grounds and gardens are maintained to a tidy and presentable standard.

· A clear understanding of the hospital cleaning service and the standards required, regarding infection control.

· Assist in the recruitment, induction, probationary period development and training of staff.

· Ensuring that the correct work methods are observed.

· To ensure that all personal and staff training is carried out and complete.

This post is part of the Facilities & Estates Service that Dorset Healthcare may transfer to an NHS wholly owned subsidiary company, from November 2025 or later.
