Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to support our client with a High end residential refurbishment in London responsible for constructing and repairing structures using hollow bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of masonry techniques and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Responsibilities
Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry materials according to specifications.
Measure and cut materials to ensure accurate placement.
Mix mortar and other bonding agents as required for construction tasks.
Construct walls, arches, and other structures with a focus on durability and aesthetics.
Repair existing masonry structures by replacing damaged bricks or mortar.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and roofers, to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Skills
Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools related to masonry work.
Strong bricklaying skills with experience in various masonry techniques.
Knowledge of general masonry practices and principles.
Familiarity with carpentry skills is advantageous for integrated construction tasks.
Solid understanding of bricklaying techniques will be beneficial for this project.
