What skills and experience we're looking for
Key Duties and Accountabilities
• Provide a full range of administrative support across the school, with a strong focus on HR administration, including absence management, recruitment processes, and maintaining the school’s Single Central Register.
• Support wider HR functions such as record keeping, staff communications, and ensuring compliance with employment and safeguarding requirements.
• Undertake general school administration tasks, which may include PFI, communications, reprographics (printing, copying, and preparing resources), and support to the Senior Leadership Team.
• Coordinate and administer external events during the school day, such as immunisation clinics, school photography, and other visiting providers.
• Provide professional and timely responses to queries from students, parents/carers, staff, and visitors.
• Answer telephone calls, directing enquiries appropriately and liaising with parents/carers and external agencies.
• Provide reception cover on a rota basis when required.
• Produce reports, correspondence, and other school communications, and support the organisation of whole-school events (e.g. parents’ evenings).
• Provide First Aid support as required (training will be provided).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding procedures, actively promoting the welfare of children and best practice across the school.
• Act as a positive role model to students at all times.
