What the school offers its staff
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our growing team as a qualified teacher to deliver English and support across the wider curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. The successful candidate will work across our bases at Darwin* and at Knutton**. Your role will include delivering English sessions, supporting students with their academic and personal development, and contributing to our enrichment programme. * The Darwin Centre is a 15 bed Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient unit. CEDARS Short Stay School (Darwin Base) is attached to this Centre and supports young people (KS3–5) experiencing significant mental health challenges. We offer a therapeutic and academic environment where small-group teaching, flexible and personalised learning, enrichment and therapeutic activities operate hand-in-hand to foster safety, resilience, and progress.
** CEDARS Pupil Referral Unit provides educational pathways for pupils and students who live in the Newcastle District or Moorlands District of Staffordshire who are not attending mainstream school. We cater for a diverse range of needs and adapt a restorative relational approach to help build young people’s self-esteem and educational opportunities.
