What skills and experience we're looking for
The Roseland Community Farm is a small school-based animal collection. Our animals need to be cared for 365 days a year and the post-holder needs to be reliable, trustworthy and conscientious. You will be responsible for the daily care of the animals and help with the upkeep of the farm. You will provide assistance in practical lessons and activities with students when needed. The position will involve lifting and manual handling of animals, goods and equipment. This role will involve working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions so a flexible approach is necessary with regard to duties. This role also involves lone working during the weekends and school holidays.
What the school offers its staff
• A unique opportunity to be a key member of staff in a forward-looking, thriven school on the beautiful Roseland Peninsula on the south coast of Cornwall;
• A genuine family atmosphere with high expectations and standards where every student is known and valued;
• Free parking facilities;
Commitment to safeguarding
The Roseland Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and expects all staff to share this commitment. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families and carers has a role to play in safeguarding children. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, all professionals should make sure their approach is child-centred. This means that they should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child.
