What skills and experience we're looking for

Boston Spa Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational and highly motivated colleague for the role of Business Manager. This is a key position, essential to the smooth, efficient, and sustainable running of the academy. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of administration, finance, premises maintenance, human resources, and health and safety, ensuring that non-teaching operations effectively support the academy’s mission to provide the best possible educational experience for our students. Additionally, they will advise the Principal and Governing Body on strategic and operational matters within their remit.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic professional to make a meaningful impact within a thriving academy environment.

Potential applicants will:

• Work alongside the Senior Leadership Team to lead and manage change within the academy.
• Oversee complex day-to-day operations and projects, demonstrating excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Thrive under pressure and effectively manage conflicting deadlines.
• Prepare proposals and costings for projects, initiatives, and grants, providing key financial insights to the Principal and Governing Body.
• Attend whole Governing Body and committee meetings, contributing to strategic decision-making.
• Have proven management experience, including successfully leading a team.
• Hold a relevant Level 4 qualification and be willing to work towards the Institute of School Business Leaders qualification.
