This is a chance to make a real difference, helping pupils to grow in confidence, develop independence, and achieve their very best. In this rewarding role, you’ll play a key part in shaping pupils’ learning journeys, supporting them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Working closely with the class teacher, you’ll help create a purposeful and inclusive classroom environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their best. From assisting with lesson delivery and personalised learning programmes to promoting positive behaviour and independence, this is a role where your support truly makes a difference.

Whether guiding small groups, stepping in to lead a class when needed, or helping to bring lessons to life, you’ll be part of a dedicated team committed to giving every pupil the tools they need to succeed.

What will you do?

• Act as a role model for pupils, support their learning effectively
• Meet personal needs while promoting independence
• Commit to supporting pupils with special educational needs and contribute to Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
• Encourage pupil interaction and cooperation, ensuring engagement in activities
• Support emotional and social needs and accompany pupils on trips

What are we looking for?

• Experience of working with relevant age group within a learning environment
• An understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
• Ability to understand the role of parents and carers, with the ability to relate and build excellent working relationships
• Ability to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on pupils progress
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school
