The Governing Body would like to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and talented Catering Manager to our team.
We are looking for someone with creativity, enthusiasm and a passion for food with excellent communication skills and an excellent understanding of how to manage nutritional and dietary requirements in a school environment. We require a Catering Manager who will complement and lead our wider catering team in school.
The ideal candidate will have:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Catering
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
- Relevant experience in a senior position within a large scale catering establishment
- Experience in supervision and training of staff
- Demonstrate knowledge of recipes, methods of production, menu planning and costings
- Demonstrate understanding of HACCP’s and COSHH
- Demonstrate details of your capability in completing documentation and financial returns
- Demonstrate understanding of the daily routine of a kitchen supervisor
- Be able to provide good customer care and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of budgeting, food storage and stock control
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance Procedures
- Demonstrate experience in Healthy Nutritional Balanced Menus
- Demonstrate understanding of achieving financial performance targets
- The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
