We are looking for a caring and dedicated person to join our supportive Learning Support Assistant (LSA) team.
This role is 29.58 hours per week (Term Time Only plus INSET days). The working pattern is expected to be 08:35 to 15:15 Monday to Friday, although we would consider job shares.
The main purpose of the role would be to provide in-class support to a named pupil or small groups of children in Key Stage 2. In return, we can offer a fantastic school with brilliant children. We regularly provide continued professional development support for all staff in school, which can be tailored towards your needs.
We would consider applicants with a range of skills and experience, from recently qualified to many years of classroom assistant experience; salary will reflect the skills and experience and fall within the pay range advertised. Ability to build a relationship through identifying and engaging with children’s interests
Experience of supporting children with speech, language and communication needs
Able to adapt learning ‘in the moment’ to make it engaging and fun
Knowledge and understanding of meeting the needs of children with social communication difficulties, including strategies to support learners with autism
Confidence in teaching social skills and modelling appropriate interactions
