We are currently seeking a part-time temporary ongoing part-time Library assistant for our Client based in Carrickfergus Library . This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a public sector body. STARTING ASAP
Working on a 2 week rota basis
Hours of work :
Week one
Monday 9.30-1.00
Wednesday 4.30-8.00
Saturday 9.30-5.00
Week two
Wednesday 4.30-8
Friday 9-5
Saturday 9.30-5
Rate of pay is £13.21 per hour& Saturday rate £19.82 per hour
Duties include:
· Handling client queries using print & electronic resources
· Registering clients
· Introducing and explaining library services, rules and regulations
· Provide all library services to meet the learning , information, leisure and cultural needs of the local community.
Essential Criteria:
· Must have 5 GCSE's including English language and Maths grade C or equivalent
· 1 years experience providing face to face service with the public.
· Experience working with young children and elderly people
· Experience using ICT for accessing, selecting and using information
