Location: Abergavenny, South Wales (Rural Location)
Own transport essential | Full UK manual driving licence required

Salary : £30,226.56 (plus sleep in rate paid at £67.50 approximately 6-8 per month)

Are you an experienced Children’s Residential Support Worker ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a Senior Support Worker (Team Leader) to join our supportive team in Abergavenny, where every day is an opportunity to help young people grow, heal, and thrive.

What You’ll Need:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential care setting
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
A positive, approachable and caring nature
Full UK manual driving licence and own transport (rural location)
Ability to work a flexible shift pattern, including weekends and sleep-ins
Passion for leading by example and supporting a dedicated team

Your Role as a Senior Support Worker:

As a Team Leader, you’ll play a vital role in supporting both the young people in our care and the staff team. You’ll help create a home where children feel safe, respected, and truly heard.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting young people with daily routines, emotional wellbeing, and personal goals
Leading shifts and supervising staff to ensure high standards of care
Acting as a role model and mentor for the support team
Supporting care planning and contributing to reviews and reports
Promoting a safe, supportive, and consistent environment
