For further information please refer to the job description and personal specification The ANP will undertake routine advanced physical assessment of the day care SACT patients including assessing these patients prior to each treatment using thorough history taking, clinical examination, arranging relevant investigations (e.g. blood tests, radiographs), prescribing SACTand other supportive medications, and arranging appropriate follow up, when necessary. Presenting and attending PPMDU Consultant rounds preparing SACT clinic and Outpatient lists in conjunction with the team. To provide support and advice to nursing, medical and allied health professionals therapy staff in relation to the management of the SACT patient. To provide support and advice to patients and their carers relating to their chemotherapy and any procedures.To obtain informed consent from patients prior to starting their first chemotherapy cycle and ongoing cycles.
