Service Engineer / Applications Chemist - Vapourtec are seeking a Service Engineer / Applications Chemist to join their dynamic team at their headquarters near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk in this exciting full-time, permanent role.

About the role:

As a Service Engineer / Applications Chemist at Vapourtec, you will support our cutting-edge flow chemistry systems through installation, commissioning, and ongoing service. This role suits a proactive problem-solver who enjoys applying technical expertise, collaborating with scientists, and engaging with customers worldwide.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

- Installation, commissioning, and qualification of Vapourtec flow chemistry systems in customer laboratories worldwide.

- Perform preventative maintenance, upgrades, and repair services to ensure equipment reliability and optimal research results.

- Provide exceptional support to chemists and researchers through phone, email, and online platforms - offering troubleshooting and application guidance.

- Engage with customers to discuss chemical applications, gather feedback, and share best practises.

- Contribute to the creation of technical bulletins, guides, and training materials to enhance customer experience.

About you:

As a Service Engineer / Applications Chemist, you will be a motivated individual with a degree (or Higher Diploma/NVQ Level 3+) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. At least 2 years' experience in laboratory service, applications, or installation is preferred, though strong practical graduates with a passion for learning are welcome. Hands-on lab skills, problem-solving ability, and clear communication are essential, along with a willingness to travel worldwide. A full UK driving license is required.
