Owen Payne Recruitment are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Hill & Smith Infrastructure. We are currently seeking skilled Steel Fabricators to join their growing team in the Bilston area.
If you're experienced in Steel Fabricators and are looking for a new challenge, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! These roles will be 12 week temp to perm for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for Assembling and fabricating mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a manufacturing organisation.
Hours of Work:
• Monday to Thursday 07:00-15:45
• Friday 07:00-13:00
Rate of Pay:
• £17.50 per hour + Overtime Rates
Key Responsibilities:
• Fabricating highway products and infrastructures according to specifications and industry standards
• Operating an overhead crane to lift, move, and position materials as needed
• Reading and interpret drawings to determine project requirements
• Inspecting finished products for quality and ensuring they meet specifications
• Maintaining and performing routine checks on welding and fabricating equipment
• Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised work areaAny additional duties as and when required
Candidate Requirements:
• Must have previous Steel Fabrication experience
• Must be able to read drawings
• Experience with operating overhead cranes preferred
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a fabrication environment
