We have an exciting opportunity within the Child health department at the QEQM hospital in Margate and The Kent and Canterbury Hospital in Canterbury.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual who can work as part of the team to provide high-qualityadministration support. The post holder will need good written and verbal communication, strong IT skills, Interpersonal and administration skills with the ability to work flexibly within an ever-changing environment. A proactive “can do” attitude is required. Being able to work under pressure and to prioritise tasks is essential.

We have an excellent opportunity for an administrator within the Child Health Department. This role requires some cross-site cover to Kent and Canterbury hospital. Working patterns can be negotiated for the successful candidate but hours will be expected to be worked over 4 days.

The majority of work will be based at Rainbow Children’s ward at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate. Support will be provided on a weekly basis to Dolphin ward (children’s day ward) at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital

There is an expectation that when the permanent ward clerk at Dolphin is on holiday that the successful candidate will provide cover for the period.

Provide administrative support to the clinical team and initial reception duties for services users.

Ensuring all ward administration tasks are performed to high standard.

Work closely with the medical, nursing and management team to support the safe and efficient running of the ward.
