Pay: £90 - £100 per day
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Contract: Long-term to permanent
Long Term Futures are looking to appoint a confident and compassionate Learning Support Assistant / Behaviour Mentor to work 1:1 with a Year 7 student at a supportive secondary school in the NG11 area of Nottingham. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers, re-engage with learning and develop the skills they need to succeed.
The Role
- Provide consistent 1:1 support for a Year 7 student who may display challenging behaviours or become dysregulated.
- Use positive strategies to help maintain engagement in lessons and encourage emotional regulation.
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to implement tailored strategies and interventions.
- Be a positive role model, supporting the student to build confidence, resilience and motivation.
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting young people with SEN or challenging behaviours (school, youth work, or alternative provision backgrounds welcome).
- Confidence in managing challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- A patient, empathetic approach with strong communication skills.
- Resilience, consistency and the ability to build trust and positive relationships.
