Are you passionate about making a difference through physical activity and sport?

Lincolnshire County Council is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative Community Sports Worker to join our team, delivering inclusive and engaging physical activity sessions for children with complex needs.

Due to recent changes in immigration law in the UK we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements of RQF Level 6.

About the role:
Positive Futures is a community-based project which creates safe places and spaces for young people to engage in positive activities, aiming to support their safety, reduce the risk of exploitation and increase children's wellbeing.

In this rewarding role, you will:

Plan and deliver tailored 1:1 sports and movement-based activities that promote physical health, social interaction, and emotional wellbeing.
Deliver inclusive small group programmes adapted to meet the personal needs of children within the group.
Collaborate with families, schools, and professionals to ensure a responsive and supportive approach to each child’s unique needs.
Foster a safe, supportive, and fun environment where every child can thrive.
This exciting role will allow you to develop a mentoring and supportive relationship with children, with the aim of using sport and positive activities to support their overall wellbeing and opportunities.

About the opportunity:
There is one, full time (37 hours a week), permanent post available with the Positive Futures Team. The successful candidate will work as part of the Future4Me, Community & Interventions Team and will be based in Boston working across Boston, South Holland and East Lindsey.

We are offering a competitive salary of £30,024 - £32,597 along with a pension, a comprehensive benefits package including excellent discount schemes, cycle to work, civil service sports council membership and many areas for professional support and development.

If you would like an open and informal discussion regards this role then please contact Joe Coburn, Senior Community & Intervention Worker - joe.coburn@lincolnshire.gov.uk

Applications close on Sunday 26th October, 2025 and interviews will be held face-to-face on Wednesday 5th November at Carlton Road Youth Centre, Boston.
