Starting in October 2025, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a warm, caring, and experienced full-time nanny to join a lovely family of five and their two pet dogs. They live in a beautiful house in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. They are seeking someone kind, nurturing, reliable, and fun-loving who is looking for a long-term role and keen to become part of their happy household. The family is active enjoying various sports and walking in the countryside near their home.
You will be caring for three active and happy children – a little girl aged six years (full time school) and her two brothers, one aged three years (part time nursery) and the baby who is aged ten months. The role is a mixture of sole charge and shared care, as Mum will be at home.
The hours required are Monday – Friday, 07.15 – 17.15 (50 hours/week). Any additional babysitting will be mutually agreed in advance and paid as overtime.
The family would like their children to grow and develop through a wide variety of stimulating and age-appropriate activities. This includes educational and creative play at home (reading, singing, puzzles, arts and crafts, imaginative play, baking, etc), as well as regular outings such as countryside walks, playdates, music classes, library visits, farm trips, and soft play sessions. A strong understanding and genuine passion for child development is essential.
The family employs a housekeeper who takes care of the laundry and cooking. As well as general care of the children, the role will include keeping the children’s areas tidy and organised and serving the children’s food at mealtimes. Knowledge of weaning and later potty training will be important. Simple household tasks such as emptying the dishwasher and ensuring rooms are left tidy at the end of the day will also be appreciated.
You will need to be a confident driver with a clean licence and your own fully insured car (duty mileage reimbursed). You will share the school and nursery runs with Mum.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a nanny who is looking for a long-term position and the chance to become an integral part of a welcoming and supportive family.
