Exam Invigilator – Queen Mary’s High School
Location: Queen Mary’s High School, Upper Forster Street, Walsall, West Midlands, WS4 2AE
Start Date: Required from November 2025Contract: Casual / Permanent
Salary: £13.05 per hour (excluding holiday pay) / £14.63 per hour (including holiday pay)
Closing Date: Sunday 2nd November 2025
Interview Date: Friday 7th November 2025
Key Responsibilities
• Invigilate public and internal examinations as per Examination Body regulations.
• Supervise candidates before and after assessments.
• Invigilate the School’s entrance examination when required.
• Undertake administrative tasks set by the Exams Officer, such as taking registers and assisting with packing scripts.
• Promote the ethos and aims of Queen Mary’s High School and The Mercian Trust.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team, or Exams Officer.
Person Specification
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to use initiative and keep calm under pressure.
• Flexible approach to work.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in an invigilation role within a school is desirable but not essential (full training provided).

You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of both internal and public examinations, upholding the highest standards in accordance with awarding body regulations.
