What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join our Mathematics department from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who really wants to make a difference to the lives of young people. Our single goal is ‘Students First’ and you will be joining a strong team of professionals working to this sole aim.
Outwood Grange Academies Trust provides a high-quality learning and cultural environment that inspires and motivates children. Whether you are ambitious for progression or determined to be an outstanding classroom teacher, Outwood Academy Valley is the place for you. Leadership development, succession planning and capacity building are major priorities for the Trust as this enables us to facilitate rapid progression for those who want to advance either in the classroom or at a leadership level.
You will be well supported by an experienced team of teachers and School Improvement Partners as you work to raise attainment levels and offer an engaging curriculum experience that focuses on teaching for understanding.
The Academy benefits from being part of the Outwood Family of Schools, which affords opportunities for staff to work and progress across several schools if desired. A comprehensive programme of professional development is provided through our own network of teaching schools. We also have strong links with Maths Hub and there are masses of opportunities for you to get involved in the fantastic projects they run.
Applications are invited from both experienced and recently appointed teachers who wish to develop their career within a fast moving environment. If you would like any further information about the Maths Department or the role, please contact Jo Bamber, Head of Department at j.bamber@valley.outwood.com
