Salary: Grade 4, £17,286 - £18,124 per annum. £13.26 - £13.90 per hour

25 hours per week

Your role:

You will be part of the team supporting Residents with dementia, you will work in a busy residential home in the heart of Leigh which supports people with dementia. You will provide stimulation, interaction to residents as identified in the care plans by having asset-based conversations to develop meaningful activity plans based on the wishes, choices and past memories and history.

You will promote activities that encourage empowerment, independence and choice as identified best practice in care for residents with dementia with complex care needs and challenging behaviour.

About you:

You will need to be flexible to the needs of the service and be able to work on a rota pattern that is unsociable hours including weekends, you will need to have excellent communication skills, both oral and written in order to support the residents to develop meaningful activity plans. You will need to be kind and caring and have a good sense of humour and be understanding when supporting residents with dementia, you will need to display values and compassion at all times. You will also need to have the ability to work unsupervised and as part of the team.
