Our client is an established plumbing and heating business based in Corringham, Essex, with over 15 years’ experience in the industry. They cater for a wide range of clients, from domestic bathrooms and boilers through to new-build residential projects. Their team of highly trained engineers have the knowledge and skills to deliver projects on time, on budget, and with unrivalled workmanship.
Are you the right person for the job?
• Experience working in a plumbing merchant is essential (builders’/hardware trade counter experience may be considered)
• Strong customer service and sales skills with a professional and approachable manner
• Product knowledge of plumbing and bathroom supplies is an advantage
• Confident using computer systems (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
• Able to manage stock levels, deliveries, and handle enquiries by phone and email
• Ambition to grow into a management role within 12–18 months
What will your role look like?
• Serving trade and public customers at the sales counter
• Quoting works and responding to enquiries by phone and email
• Booking in deliveries, managing stock, and keeping records up to date
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and welcoming shop floor
• Supporting the back-office sales system and admin processes
What can you expect in return?
• Salary £27,000 – £30,000 per year depending on experience
• Uncapped profit share bonus realistic £150–£400 per month when sales targets are achieved
• 28 days holiday including bank holidays
