Position: Communication Support Worker
Contract: Term time, permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Surrey Support Pay Scale 5 (£27,634 FTE; Actual salary £20,636)

Key responsibilities include:
Provide communication support for deaf students, in line with their needs and preferences (BSL/SSE/Spoken English), in order to access the curriculum and social experiences across the school day
Ensure students have the optimum audiological access through regular listening checks, supporting the use of Remote Microphone Systems (RMS) and promoting whole school engagement in the use of Soundfield systems
Promotion and facilitation of extra-curricular activities, including after school clubs, targeted boosters and residential trips as appropriate
Requirements include:
Essential
Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent appropriate qualification)
