Location: Hamilton Water Palace

Hours: 34 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 2 Week Shift Pattern (Indicative)

Week 1: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 1pm - 8pm, Thursday 12pm - 8pm, Saturday 8am - 1pm

Week 2: Tuesday 9:30am - 6pm, Wednesday and Thursday 1pm - 8pm, Friday 1pm - 7pm, Sunday 12:30pm - 6pm

Salary Band: £17.72 - £18.21 per hour

Duration: Fixed Term until November 2026

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Swim Officer to join our team at Hamilton Water Palace.

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture have an award winning swimming development programme which delivers high quality swimming lessons in our nine pools. Due to the continued expansion of our programme, which currently delivers lessons to around 10,000 people a week, we are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Swim Officer who loves teaching swimming to a variety of abilities and age groups and have the skills to help Swim Teachers develop.

Applicants must hold the SSTQ (SQA Level 7) or UKCC Level 2.

REQUIREMENTS

Monitor, review and manage swimming teachers / coaches.

Administrative and management information in relation to the swim programme.

Provide customer care to high standards as defined within the business plan and site procedures.

Follow continuous improvement principles and apply to the swimming scheme.

Deliver the Swimming Development Programme.
