Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Worker (LSW) to join our supportive team in Horsham, Surrey. This is a fantastic chance to contribute to a positive, inclusive, and thriving educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support, care and teaching to autistic adult learners
- Plan, prepare and deliver activities supporting the development of knowledge and skills
- Provide behaviourally based support to reduce behaviours that impact the quality of life
- Provide personal care, encouraging and enabling adult learners to maintain acceptable levels of hygiene, including toileting, dressing and washing
- Support adult learner's participation in social, leisure and educational activities within the local community, applying theory based learning to practice
- Support adult learners to access work experience and employment opportunities
- Track adult learner progress, ensuring support, care and teaching is appropriate and effective
What we need from you:
- Eligibility to work in UK
- Experience working within a SEN environment is highly desirable, but a clear passion for and commitment to special education is essential
- Demonstrate genuine empathy, patience, and resilience
- Strong communication and time management skills
