About G2 Energy (G2E)G2 Energy is a NERS-accredited Independent Connections Provider (ICP), delivering expert high-voltage electrical and civil engineering solutions. We provide Contestable Works up to 132kV, and we're also qualified to deliver projects on National Grid infrastructure up to 400kV.
We're currently delivering a major energy project at Staythorpe BESS and are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Construction Supervisor to help lead on-site delivery. This is a great opportunity to join a growing business working at the heart of the UK's energy transition.
The RoleYou'll support the Project Manager by supervising and coordinating all on-site electrical installation works, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards. This role is ideal for someone with strong LV and HV experience who can take ownership of day-to-day site activities and lead subcontractors to deliver first-time-right results.
Key Responsibilities
-Supervise electrical installation works, including LV and HV systems
-Oversee the installation of switchgear, transformers, wiring, earthing, ducting, and protection systems
-Interpret and work to electrical drawings and DNO specifications (e.g., G81)
-Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors
-Manage and inspect above and below-ground installations
-Support electrical testing, commissioning, and quality checks
-Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager
-Ensure works comply with NRSWA Section 50, NJUG guidelines, and health & safety standards
-Manage documentation and compliance for subcontractors, including reviewing RAMS and scope of works
What We're Looking For
-5+ years' experience in LV/HV electrical installations (HV experience essential)
-Background working with switchgear, transformers, generators, and substations
-Strong understanding of DNO standards and industry best practices
-Experience supervising subcontractors and managing technical site works
-Knowledge of health & safety legislation (CDM, HSG47, etc.)
-Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
-Experience working on works up to 132kV (preferred)
-Familiarity with DNO authorisations, SAP processes, and G81 standards
Required or Desirable Qualifications
-City & Guilds 2382 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
-City & Guilds 2391 - Inspection & Testing
-City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 - Electrical Installations
-Part P (Defined or Full Scope)
-SMSTS - Site Management Safety Training Scheme
-Street Works Supervisor (NRSWA)
-Emergency First Aid
-Fire Warden
-Full UK Driving Licence
