Automotive Workshop Controller (Croydon) | £45K | Family-Run Business
Are you an experienced technician ready to step up — or a seasoned Workshop Controller who still enjoys getting on the tools? We’ve got the perfect role for you.
We’re working with a well-established, family-run automotive business in the Croydon area looking for a Workshop Controller to lead a small, dedicated team and keep the workshop running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Leading a team of 4 technicians — mentoring, motivating, and managing workflow
• Spending around 20% of your time on the tools (keep your hands dirty!)
• Loading and scheduling jobs through the workshop
• Managing job cards and ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Speaking with customers to update on progress and advise on repairs

Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
(No weekends – enjoy your time off!)

• Up to £45,000 basic salary (depending on experience)

• Strong technical background (Level 3 qualified preferred)
• Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or senior technician looking to progress
• Confident communicator with good customer service skills
• Ability to organise workload and drive team performance
