R&D Project Engineer
Alfreton, Derbyshire
Up to £35,000 depending on experience plus excellent benefits package and an early finish on a Friday.

Our client an American owned manufacturing facility are looking to recruit an experience R&D Project Engineer to join their small but dynamic team based closed to Alfreton, Derbyshire.

As a Research and Development Project Engineer you will be responsible for conducting design, development and test work on projects for heating appliances.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and have a proactive “can-do” attitude.

Activities include for the R&D Project Engineer:
• Hands on testing, development & design in accordance with International Standards.
• Hands on light fabrication model making occasionally required.
• Problem solving and delivering innovative technical solutions in a timely manner.
• Client liaison, report preparation and presentation to customers both on site and video conferencing.
• Report writing & Presentations: Powerpoint / Spreadsheets.
• Occasional UK & Overseas travel when needed.

Qualifications and Experience for the R&D Project Engineer:
• Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in engineering or a scientific discipline.
• Time served Engineering apprenticeship with a minimum of 5 yrs experience preferred.
• Knowledge or experience with Domestic or light Commercial gas appliances is highly advantageous.
• Basic fabrication skills also an advantage.
• Full driving licence.
