Crynodeb
The successful applicant will rotate through:- Acute Kidney Unit Acute transplant recipients, ITU stepdowns AKI transferred from other trusts in North Central London as part of the AKI Network. They will also attend a variety of clinics including Dialysis (Haemodialysis and PD) Transplantation: acute and chronic clincis, transplant assessment clinic Low clearance general and sub-speciality nephrology e.g. vasculitis, lupus,. Nephrotic syndrome. Opportunities will also be available to attend other clinics Tubular Stone disease Maternal nephrology Amyloid (Natinal Amyloid Centre) Difficult hypertension HIV nephrology Uronephrology. They will have the opportunity to perform native and transplant renal biopsies under consultant supervision and will be expected to participate in the registrar on call and night shift rota, for which they will be paid a supplement accordingly. The appointee will have full access to the extensive academic and educational programmes that the department offers. The clinical department works in collaboration with the UCL Centre for Nephrology. Research opportunities are offered by several groups with established interests in renal tubular pathophysiology and stones, renal genetics, renal bone disease, cardiovascular disease, dialysis, autoimmunity and fibrosis.
