Personal Assistant required for a happy and lively nine-year-old girl who lives in the St Austell area.
She has some learning difficulties and health needs, and she would like someone who she can build up a positive relationship with and provide her with some 1:1 support.
She would like someone to support her with her communication and social skills out in the community. An understanding of Makaton would be of enormous benefit but not essential. She loves being both indoors and outdoors. Her interests are Lego, Playmobile, construction toys, Barbies, LOL dolls, craft activities and colouring.
A personal assistant will enable her to enjoy activities in her local community with and without her family.
Rate of pay is £12.60 per hour.
This role is primarily for school holidays where many hours will be available.
Car driver preferred with business class insurance.
Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All offers of employment will be subject to the successful candidate undertaking an enhanced DBS check, the administration process will be undertaken by Cornwall Council.
